Thank you for choosing Funglish (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how and why we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our App. By using Funglish, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Overview

Target Audience: Children ages 7 to 10 (and general audience interested in learning English)
Primary Purpose: Provide an educational companion to the physical Funglish tabletop game, by scanning QR codes and offering translations, images, and read-aloud functionality.
Distribution: The App is currently distributed only in Israel.

Funglish does not require users to create an account, provide personal information, or subscribe. The App is fully accessible once downloaded and installed, although functionality is optimized for use alongside the physical tabletop game.

2. Personal Data Collection and Use

2.1 No Collection of Personal Information

We do not collect, store, or process any personal information (such as name, email address, phone number, location, etc.) from users. We also do not knowingly request or collect personal data from children under any age, including those under 13.

2.2 Data Generated Within the App

QR Code Scanning: The App scans only the predefined, hardcoded QR codes found in the physical Funglish materials. These scans simply trigger the display or playing of localized text, images, and audio. No information from the QR code scans is collected or transmitted to any external server.
Downloaded Media Files: For the second tabletop package, users can download images and audio files from our private resource server. These files are stored locally on the user’s device. We do not collect or track any data about which files are downloaded or how users interact with the files.
Language Preference: The App detects the device’s locale (via READ_PHONE_STATE) during the first launch to suggest the most appropriate interface language. This preference can be changed manually in the App’s settings. We do not collect, share, or transmit any data about user locale.

2.3 No Third-Party Services or SDKs

We do not integrate or use any third-party analytics tools, advertising SDKs, or tracking systems. Funglish operates independently without sending user data to external services.

3. Permissions Used

The following permissions are declared in the App’s Android manifest:

Camera (android.permission.CAMERA)
- Used solely for scanning the Funglish-specific QR codes from the physical booklets and play cards.
- No video or image data is stored or transmitted.
Internet (android.permission.INTERNET)
- Needed to download optional media files (images and sound files) for the second tabletop package.
Read/Write External Storage (android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)
- Necessary to save and access the downloaded media files for the second package on the device.
- The App does not read or write any personal data.
Read Phone State (android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE)
- Used only to check the device’s default locale/language for initial UI language settings.
- We do not collect or use any other phone state information (such as phone number or IMEI).
Access Network State (android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)
- Used to check if the device is connected to the internet before attempting to download media files.

We do not use these permissions to collect personal data or share data with third parties.

4. How We Store and Protect Information

The App does not collect or maintain personal information.
Downloaded images and audio files for the second tabletop package are stored locally on your device.
We take reasonable measures to secure any data stored locally by the App, but please note that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Users can delete these files at any time by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.

5. Child-Directed App Compliance

Funglish is designed for children ages 7–10 (and up). We are committed to protecting children’s privacy and safety:

We do not collect, store, or share any personal data from children.
We do not serve ads or use any in-app purchases.
All content is educational and appropriate for children.

Since the App is distributed only in Israel, we follow applicable local regulations. However, if you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data, please contact us immediately, and we will take all necessary steps to remove such information.

We do not share, sell, or lease any user data with third parties. We have no advertising partners, analytics providers, or other external services integrated into Funglish.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no user data for us to retain. Any media files downloaded for the second tabletop package remain on your device until you choose to delete them (e.g., by uninstalling the App or clearing its data).

8. International Users

Funglish is currently available only in Israel. If you use or access the App from outside Israel (for instance, by side-loading the App or traveling), note that we do not collect personal data and therefore do not transfer user data across borders.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy within the App or on our official website (if available) and indicate the “Effective Date” at the top.

תודה שבחרת בFunglish (“האפליקציה”). במסמך זה מוסברים האופן והמטרות של איסוף, שימוש וגילוי מידע בעת שימושך באפליקציה. בשימושך ב‑Funglish, הינך מסכים/ה לתנאי מדיניות פרטיות זו.

1. סקירה כללית

קהל היעד: ילדים בגילאי 7 עד 10 (וכן קהל רחב המתעניין בלימוד אנגלית)
מטרה עיקרית: ליווי חינוכי למשחק הלוח Funglish, באמצעות סריקת קודי QR והצגת תרגומים, תמונות והקראה.
הפצה: האפליקציה מופצת כיום בישראל בלבד.

האפליקציה אינה דורשת מהמשתמשים לפתוח חשבון, למסור מידע אישי או להירשם. האפליקציה זמינה במלואה לאחר הורדה והתקנה, כאשר השימוש מיטבי עם המשחק הפיזי.

2. איסוף ושימוש במידע אישי

2.1 אין איסוף מידע אישי

איננו אוספים, שומרים או מעבדים שום מידע אישי (כגון שם, כתובת דוא״ל, מספר טלפון, מיקום וכד׳). לא במתכוון ולא במודע אנו מבקשים או אוספים מידע אישי מילדים בכל גיל, לרבות מתחת לגיל 13.

2.2 נתונים הנוצרים בתוך האפליקציה

סריקת קודי QR: האפליקציה סורקת אך ורק קודים מוגדרים מראש המופיעים בחומרי Funglish. הסריקות מפעילות תצוגה/השמעה של טקסטים, תמונות וקבצי שמע. אין מאוחסן או משוגר מידע מן הסריקות לשרת חיצוני.
הורדת קבצי מדיה: עבור חבילת המשחק השנייה ניתן להוריד תמונות וקבצי שמע משרת משאבים פרטי. הקבצים נשמרים מקומית במכשיר. איננו אוספים או עוקבים אחר אילו קבצים הורדו או כיצד נעשה בהם שימוש.
העדפת שפה: בעת ההפעלה הראשונה האפליקציה בודקת את שפת ברירת‑המחדל של המכשיר (באמצעות READ_PHONE_STATE) כדי להציע שפת ממשק מתאימה. ניתן לשנות העדפה זו בהגדרות. איננו אוספים, משתפים או משגרים נתוני שפה.

2.3 אין שירותי צד‑ג׳ או ערכות SDK

האפליקציה אינה משלבת כלי ניתוח, פרסום או מעקב של צד‑ג׳. Funglish פועלת באופן עצמאי וללא שליחת מידע משתמש לשירותים חיצוניים.

3. הרשאות בשימוש

להלן ההרשאות המוגדרות בקובץ המניפסט של Android:

מצלמה (android.permission.CAMERA)
- לצרכי סריקת קודי Funglish הייחודיים שבחוברות ובכרטיסי המשחק.
- לא נשמרים או משוגרים נתוני וידאו/תמונות.
אינטרנט (android.permission.INTERNET)
- נדרש להורדת קבצי מדיה אופציונליים (תמונות וקובצי שמע) עבור החבילה השנייה.
קריאה/כתיבה לאחסון חיצוני (android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE ו‑android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)
- נחוץ לשמירה ולגישה לקבצי המדיה שהורדו למכשיר.
- האפליקציה אינה קוראת/כותבת מידע אישי.
מצב טלפון (android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE)
- לבדיקת שפת/אזור ברירת‑המחדל של המכשיר לשם הגדרת שפת הממשק הראשונית.
- איננו אוספים או משתמשים בפרטי קו/מכשיר אחרים (כגון מספר טלפון או IMEI).
מצב רשת (android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)
- בדיקה אם יש חיבור לאינטרנט לפני ניסיון הורדת קבצים.

אין אנו משתמשים בהרשאות אלה לאיסוף מידע אישי או לשיתוף מידע עם צדדים שלישיים.

4. אבטחת מידע ואחסון

האפליקציה אינה אוספת או מחזיקה מידע אישי.
קבצי תמונה ושמע לחבילה השנייה נשמרים מקומית במכשיר.
אנו נוקטים באמצעים סבירים להגנה על נתונים המאוחסנים במכשיר; עם זאת, אין שיטה שהיא בטוחה ב‑100%. ניתן למחוק קבצים אלו בכל עת באמצעות ניקוי נתוני האפליקציה או הסרת ההתקנה.

5. אפליקציה המיועדת לילדים

Funglish מיועדת לילדים בני 7–10 (ומעלה), ואנו מחויבים להגנת פרטיותם:

אין איסוף, שמירה או שיתוף מידע אישי מילדים.
אין פרסומות ואין רכישות בתוך האפליקציה.
כל התוכן חינוכי ומתאים לילדים.

מאחר שהאפליקציה זמינה בישראל בלבד, אנו פועלים בהתאם לדין המקומי. אם הנך הורה/אפוטרופוס וסבור/ה כי ילדך מסר מידע אישי, צור/צרי עמנו קשר מיידית ונפעל להסרת המידע כנדרש.

אין שיתוף, מכירה או העברה של נתוני משתמשים לגורמי צד‑ג׳. אין שותפי פרסום, ספקי ניתוח או שירותים חיצוניים המשולבים באפליקציה.

7. שמירת מידע ומחיקה

מאחר שאיננו אוספים מידע אישי, אין מידע משתמש הנמצא ברשותנו לשמירה. קבצי המדיה שהורדו עבור החבילה השנייה נשארים במכשירך עד לבחירתך למחוק אותם (למשל, באמצעות הסרת ההתקנה או ניקוי נתוני האפליקציה).

8. משתמשים מחו״ל

האפליקציה זמינה בישראל בלבד. אם הגעת אליה מחוץ לישראל (למשל באמצעות side‑loading או בעת נסיעה), שימי/שים לב שאין איסוף מידע אישי ולכן אין העברת נתונים חוצת‑גבולות.

9. שינויים במדיניות פרטיות זו

ייתכן שנעדכן מעת לעת את מדיניות פרטיות זו על מנת לשקף שינויים בפעילותנו, או מטעמים תפעוליים/משפטיים/רגולטוריים. נפרסם את הגרסה המעודכנת באפליקציה או באתר הרשמי (אם קיים) ונציין את “תאריך התחולה” בראש המסמך.
